At this point your Emberpulse unit should be flashing magenta (purple). After 1 hour, if it is still flashing magenta, you will need to use one of the methods below to re-enter your Emberpulse account details.

Option 1 – Emberpulse IP address known:

Use this method if you know how to obtain your Emberpulse unit’s IP address via your router settings. Once you have your Emberpulse unit’s IP address, using a wireless device that is on the same network as your Emberpulse unit, enter in the IP address in the URL bar of a new web browser page. This should bring up the CONNECT YOUR EMBERPULSE TO YOUR WI-FI NETWORK page for you to enter in your Emberpulse account details and continue.

Option 2 – factory reset Emberpulse unit:

  • Use this method if you do not know how to obtain the IP address of your Emberpulse unit.
  • Using a pin or something similar, hold in the reset button that is on the side of the Emberpulse unit until it starts flashing red and green then let go.
  • Wait until your Emberpusle unit goes back to solid magenta
    • New Emberpulse accounts - follow the onscreen instructions to connect your Emberpulse unit and subsequent sub-meter(s).
    • Existing Emberpulse account - follow the instructions in Update your Wi-Fi Network to re-connect your Emberpulse unit.

Existing Emberpulse accounts only:

Once your Emberpulse unit is back online, please check to see if your sub-meters have re-connected. This can be done by looking on the Connected Devices page on the web. If the sub-meters are still showing as being disconnected, please follow the instructions below depending on what type of sub-meter you have:

Embermeter:

  1. Click [Add Device] a three minute count-down will begin. Steps 2 and 3 must be conducted whilst in count-down mode.
  2. Go to the fuse-box, if the light is already magenta, go to step 3
    • Long-press the 'A' button until the light turns magenta.
  3. Press the 'A' button on the Embermeter once and the light should turn cyan/blue which indicates successful re-pairing.
