Purpose

The purpose of this guide is to outline the process to set up your Emberpulse Account and to provide guidance of what to expect at each step. The instructions in this document should be followed to successfully complete the setup of your Emberpulse account.


Pre-requisites

Before proceeding with your account setup, please confirm that the following steps have already been completed:

  1. You have already signed up to the Emberpulse cloud
  2. Your Emberpulse device has been connected to your home Wi-Fi Network
  3. Your Emberpulse device has been connected to your submeter


If you have not completed the above steps, you will note be able to continue with your account setup. Please refer to the Emberpulse Installation Guide to complete the installation of your Emberpulse device prior to proceeding.


Enter Electricity Bill Details

Before proceeding with this section, please ensure that you have a copy of your recent electricity bill handy.

  1. Click on the 'Home' option at the top left of the screen to display your home screen
  2. On the right hand side of your home screen, select menu option 'Enter Electricity Bill Details'

  1. You will be presented with the following screen (or similar)


  1. Select your Distributor, this information can be obtained from your electricity bill.
  2. Select your Retailer, this is the organisation that currently issues you your electricity bill.
  3. Click on the 'Find My Plan' button
  4. You will be presented with the following screen (or similar)


  1. Search for your Energy Plan
  2. You will be presented with the following screen (or similar)


  1. To determine which plan corresponds with your relevant plan, select the 'More' button for a breakdown of the relevant tariff rates
  2. You will be presented with additional tariff information similar to the screen below


  • If you are still unable to locate a plan that corresponds with your current electricity bill, please use the Help & Support tab located on the right hand side to send through a copy of your latest bill to Emberpulse Support and we will enter these details into your account for you.
  1. Once you have identified your energy plan, click the 'This is my plan!' button
  2. You will once again be presented with the 'My Electricity Bill' screen
  3. Select your Solar Feed-in option
  4. Enter your Solar Feed-in Rate (if applicable). Please note, your bill will show this amount in dollars, you will need to enter this amount into the system in cents.
  5. Select your Bill Period
  6. Enter your Bill Start Date
  7. Click the 'Save' button
  8. You will receive a confirmation that your electricity bill details have been updated.


Describe Your Home

  1. Click on the 'Home' option at the top left of the screen to display your home screen
  2. On the right hand side of your home screen, select menu option 'Describe Your Home'


  1. You will be presented with the following screen (or similar)


  1. Enter in 'My Home' details
  2. Scroll down the page to the 'Solar Details' section


  • Enter in your solar system details (if applicable)
  1. Click the 'Save' button

Setting an Energy Goal

Before proceeding with this section, please ensure that your Electricity Bill Information has already been entered into the system.

  1. Click on the 'Goal' option at the top left of the screen to display your Goal screen
  2. You will be presented with the following screen (or similar)


  1. Click the 'Change your goal' button to change your Energy Goal
  2. You will be presented with the following screen (or similar)


  1. Select a Personal Energy Saving Goal

Refer to Pulse Light Colours for an explanation of what the different Emberpulse light colours mean for each goal.

  1. Click the 'Save' button
